Here it is!! A fresh* new** Cryptid Zone, right here for your ears!!! Cryptid Zone 12: Melon Heads

On this episode of Cryptid Zone we discuss Melon Heads, which are creatures from North American folklore. They're wrapped up in a lot of gross ableism, so we spend most of the episode avoiding talking about them in favour of improvising a blues song and talking about cats. Also, Lois formally debuts the regular feature "Lois Overexplains Bad Films About Cryptids" (we're workshopping the title).

Cryptid Zone 11: Tsuchinoko

You ever wonder, what if snakes were mischievous and had legs? It just sounds like a sassy lizard to me but to some people it's the Tsuchinoko, a creature from Japanese folklore. This podcast is brought to you by Jeremy Hewes (@knifewitch) and Lois Stone (@supitslois), who is mega freaked out by snakes which made this episode extremely fun to record.

The Pard may be a homewrecker, but it's just living its truth and we can respect that. We also talk about Aesop's fables for, like, too long.

In this episode, we talk about arguably the most famous of the cryptids, and our best friend. Mothman has terrorised (blessed?) the small town of Point Pleasant, WV for the last few decades with his red eyes and majestic feathery wings. We talk about Richard Gere a bunch too.

In this episode, we consider the most implausible idea of all: what if something interesting happened in the south-west of England?

Cryptid Zone 5: Chupacabra

In this episode we discuss the mysterious CHUPACABRA ("goat sucker"), the legendary livestock exsanguinator of the Americas. We trace from its origins in Puerto Rico, across the ocean to the United States, and then around the world, and conclude that, to be honest, it's not all that.
